9 Months - Take Me Out to the Ball Game

Yesterday (Tuesday) was my 9 month birthday and I wanted to celebrate with a win! While I do not know what a win is, Dad kept telling me that we wanted a win. Evidently, we got a win - but I was already asleep. It was late - the game ended at almost 10pm - I've never been up that late in my life.

To celebrate my 9 month birthday, we all went out to my first baseball game. It was the Cardinals versus the Nationals – go Cards. I am glad we were rooting for the Cardinals, because I don’t know what a National could possibly be – but I know about birds. Tweet, tweet.

The game was a lot of fun. There were a ton of people – too many to count. There were crazy guys in President costumes (Dad says they are mascots). People were yelling about buying beer and peanuts. There was a red car parked in the entrance to the stadium (Phin’s favorite thing, seriously), and playground equipment (Phin’s second favorite thing), and popcorn (my favorite thing and Phin’s 3rd favorite), and clapping, and lots of activity. Oh, and our friend Jeff was there too.

Mom said that my photo shoot pictures will be posted soon. But, in the meantime, enjoy these pictures from the baseball game.

Lots of Love,
Amelia

A Ride Through the Countryside - Our First Joint Blog

This is our first jointly written blog – we could not decide who would best tell the story, so we decided to share the storytelling. We gender colored our parts to make it easier to follow.

Last weekend, Amelia decided she was old enough to ride in the red Little Tikes car.
Phin was about 8 months when he got to drive the car for a monthly photo shoot; I decided I was old enough and would like a turn. Well, it didn’t go so well.
I did not want to share the car. It has been one of my phavorite toys since I was old enough to ride in it (propped up with a pillow).
He kept saying, “No Amelia, No.”
On Mom’s urging I agreed to share (there may have been tears) – after 2 minutes though, Amelia let me back in.

Fast forward (whatever that means) to Wednesday afternoon… We were playing downstairs with the trains…
I was playing trains, Amelia was watching. Then we played puppets, I was sharing. Sharing a while will make some smile. I like to smile, so I asked Amelia if she wanted a ride. I told her I would drive.I was so excited when he I asked that I blew raspberries. Phin fetched the little person insert.  Since my legs are too short to touch the ground – the insert keeps me from falling out.
I pushed her around. I apologized when we crashed. And I parked her a few times. Mom took a lot of video, but click the image below to go to our movie site and watch the minute clip.

Peace Out and Lots of Love,

Spring Has Sprung and I'm 2 1/2 Years Old

You already now it, but in case you forgot, I'm a Big Guy.  Big Guys get to do lots of special things, like watch Star Wars when I'm sick, drink juice after 4pm, wear undies, and stay up until 7:15pm (on special occasions).  But with the nice weather, I was able to do something special - ride my bike in the parking lot (with close parental supervision)!

Check it out in the photos and video links included below (if you look closely, you can see the metro drive by me in the 2nd photo - so cool).  Despite Spring officially starting, it was still a little bit chilly and late when we took the bike out for its first seasonal spin - so we could not stay out too long.  Without much effort (since I'm a really Big Guy now), I was able to cruise through the parking lot, on the grass, down the brick paved sidewalk, and up the 2 stairs to our house.  Dad was amused, because I delighted in letting my bike tip over, and then insisting on picking it up and mounting it myself.  I am a Big Guy after all, I can pick up my own bike.

I was having so much fun that I didn't want to go inside.  I only went in after Mom insisted we could go for a ride the next day.  We didn't go for a ride the next day - it rained.  But the day after, I met my buddy Noah on the path next to the Metro tracks and we zoomed for a long drive (until Noah had to run into the Hilton to go potty - he wears undies too - I held it in until we got home).    Amelia calls me the 'Terror on Two Wheels.'  I told Amelia that when she was bigger I would get her a seat for the back of the bike so she can go for a ride too.

I love riding my bike - hopefully I can ride it to metro to pick Dad up after work today.

Peace out,
Phin
