Veteran blog readers may remember this post and corresponding pictures from a couple of years ago. Just under 2 years ago, C and M headed out to visit our farmer's market favorite, the Westmoreland Berry Farm, about 2 hours from DC. The weather was perfect and the berry's were delicious!
Luckily, we had identical luck- unbelievable weather and succulent, ripe strawberries. Although the cherries and other berries were far from ripe this time - too early in the season - M did get to pick his first fresh asparagus stock!

After all of our strawberry picking, we stopped by the cabbage patch and picked out Bean.
After our time at the farm, we drove about 20 minutes to George Washington's birthplace - where he lived for just a few years before floating between other locations. GW birthplace (as you can see in the pic below) is now a National Park site (although there isn't too much there other than a couple of reconstructed buildings, pretty views, and a partially confused Park Ranger).

By the time you read this, we're probably on our way to our next adventure (and another revisit of a C and M favorite) - beach camping (again it will be in the rain) at Assateague Island National Seashore. Who says pregnant women can't camp.
